Reef Foundation ABC+ is a powder supplement that contains all the elements of Foundation A, B, and C, as well as Coral Colors A and B (potassium, boron, iodine, and bromine) from Red Sea. These elements are in the same ratio as they are in the coral skeleton. Different coral species have slightly different ratios, but the average ratio is fairly stable.
To replenish these elements based on the corals’ metabolic needs, you should supplement them in a fixed ratio according to how much calcium the corals use.
Reef Foundation ABC+ can be dosed daily or weekly, depending on the type of aquarium and the measured calcium uptake. However, an imbalance may occur among the foundation elements over time.
If you dose daily, you should test all the foundation elements weekly and adjust them with the individual A, B, and C supplements. If you dose weekly, you should test all the foundation elements monthly and adjust them with the individual A, B, and C supplements.
